About the Role
This vacancy is for a full-time position (40 hours per week) with our facilities team. The Facility Manager oversees and coordinates the teams responsible for general and technical facility services, including maintenance, drivers, domestic staff, kitchen, laundry, and gardening. They ensure the efficient organization of these services while adhering to established quality and safety standards.
The Facility Manager's tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Team Leadership and Coordination: Organizes and supervises facility teams, ensuring quality, safety, and progress while fostering independence, team spirit, and a positive working atmosphere;
HR Management: Oversees scheduling, vacation planning, compliance with working hours, and staff input; conducts performance evaluations, manages sick leave, and trains new employees;
Engagement and Development: Promotes open communication for feedback and incident reporting, facilitating employee engagement and continuous improvement in quality and safety standards;
Procurement and Supplier Management: Negotiates contracts, ensures favorable pricing and conditions, maintains supplier information, and advises on purchases, replacements, or renovations;
Process Optimization and Compliance: Implements efficiency measures, including digitalization, and ensures adherence to policies, protocols, and training on safety, hygiene, and technical standards;
Stock and Resource Management: Manages supplies, materials, and equipment; monitors usage to prevent waste; processes internal requests and maintains accurate databases;
Policy Development and Compliance: Designs, evaluates, and updates policies, protocols, and work instructions for safety, hygiene, and technical standards while ensuring adherence to organizational values, regulations, and employee policies;
Requirements
The job requires:
HBO / Bachelor's degree in the field of Facility Management or equivalent;
Minimally 5 years of experience in a similar field;
Understanding of management strategies and technical approaches;
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
Good verbal and written command of the English language.
